Many plumbing companies operate on a franchise model or at a nationwide level. As a homeowner, this means you’re often paying a portion of franchise fees, along with the costs of multi-level management.
The advantage of choosing Precision Plus Plumbing is that you’re working with a “true” local, family-owned business. This ensures personalized service and expertise without the extra overhead costs that larger companies pass on to their customers.
What sets Precision Plus apart is that we’re the only plumbing company with a Licensed Master Plumber on staff full-time, along with a dedicated water damage restoration department. This unique combination allows us to provide a more thorough, comprehensive service — addressing both the cause of the problem and the damage itself.
Many plumbing companies operate as franchises. As a homeowner, you end up paying for their franchise fees, multi-level management, and corporate marketing — on top of the repair.
Precision Plus is different. We’re a local, family-owned business. No franchise overhead. No call center dispatching a random technician. When you call us, you get a master plumber who has worked in Bucks County homes for 25+ years and knows exactly how your housing type affects the repair.
What makes us truly unique: We’re the only plumbing company with a Licensed Master Plumber and a Water Damage Restoration department under one roof. If your gas pipe leak damages your basement, we fix the plumbing AND the damage — one company, one call.
Every gas pipe repair includes a FREE gas line safety inspection ($149 value) — the one thing that prevents your next emergency before it happens.
Real jobs completed by our expert technicians — delivering reliable gas pipe repair solutions for local homes.
Real gas pipe challenges our technicians solve across Bucks County — because every community has different piping materials, different construction methods, and different failure modes.

→ PRE-WAR BLACK IRON PIPE & THREADED JOINT CORROSION
Doylestown’s historic borough homes date to the late 1800s and early 1900s with original black iron gas piping that corrodes from the inside out over decades. The threaded joints — where pipe sections connect — are where the wall thickness is thinnest, making them the first failure point. Corrosion products build up inside the pipe, weakening the threads until the joint weeps gas through hairline cracks. We section-replace deteriorated runs using modern black iron or approved transition fittings, preserving sound pipe sections and avoiding unnecessary full-system repipes.

→ STANDARDIZED 1950s PIPING AT END OF SERVICE LIFE
Levittown’s 1952–1958 Levitt homes used standardized gas piping layouts with black iron pipe and threaded fittings throughout. After 65–70+ years, these systems are reaching end of service life simultaneously across entire neighborhoods. The pipe material itself is sound in many homes, but the threaded connections — especially at tees, elbows, and union joints — corrode through at predictable locations. We know the failure patterns for each Levitt model type (Levittowner, Jubilee, Country Clubber, Rancher) and target repairs at the joints most likely to fail next, extending the system’s usable life without a full repipe.

→ DECADES OF PATCHWORK REPAIRS & MIXED PIPE MATERIALS
Langhorne’s mixed-era housing has accumulated decades of gas pipe modifications by different plumbers using different materials and methods. Original black iron connects to mid-century galvanized, which transitions to 1990s CSST, sometimes within the same pipe run. Each transition point is a potential leak source — dissimilar metals corrode at connections, transition fittings loosen over time, and improperly joined materials create stress points. We trace the full system, identify every transition, and repair or replace connections that don’t meet current code.

→ CSST FLEX LINE SYSTEMS IN EXECUTIVE HOMES
Newtown’s newer executive homes use CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) extensively for gas distribution to 6–8+ appliances. CSST is efficient for installation but vulnerable to lightning-induced electrical surges that perforate the thin corrugated wall. Improper bonding — or bonding that met code at installation but not current standards — leaves the entire CSST network exposed. We inspect every run for perforation damage, verify bonding meets current PA code, repair or replace compromised sections, and issue PECO-compliant documentation.

→ TOWNHOME GAS RISERS & SHARED-WALL PIPE ROUTING
Bensalem’s townhome and condo communities route gas piping through shared wall assemblies, common utility chases, and vertical risers that serve multiple units. When a gas pipe fails in a shared chase, determining which unit’s piping is responsible requires careful isolation and testing. HOA and management company involvement adds coordination complexity. We isolate each unit’s piping, determine exactly where the failure is, make the repair with minimal wall disruption, and provide documentation that satisfies PECO, the homeowner, and the HOA.

→ CRAWL SPACE PIPE RUNS & MOISTURE-ACCELERATED CORROSION
Warminster’s 1960s–70s ranch-style homes route gas piping through crawl spaces beneath floor joists where persistent ground moisture accelerates corrosion on exposed pipe, fittings, and hangers. Decades of thermal cycling from seasonal temperature swings stress joints that are already weakened by corrosion. These are the most neglected gas pipes in any home because nobody looks at them until PECO flags a problem. We inspect and repair crawl space gas piping as a core competency — not a job we subcontract or avoid — using compact tooling designed for low-clearance work.
Six steps. One visit. No second-guessing.
Call (484) 436-4190. Describe the issue. We dispatch a master plumber with the parts most likely needed for your pipe type and housing style.
We adapt to your pipe type — black iron, galvanized, CSST, or copper. Electronic leak detection and pressure readings pinpoint the exact failure. No cookie-cutter diagnosis.
Clear explanation of what’s wrong and a written price before work begins. We tell you whether section repair or full repipe makes more sense — with real numbers.
Pipe sections, fittings, valves, connectors, CSST segments — common parts on every truck. Repairs meet Pennsylvania code and PECO utility requirements.
Air pressure test on the full system. Leak detection sweep on every connection. Gas valve operation check. No pipe leaves our hands without a complete safety verification.
We coordinate directly with PECO for service restoration. You sign off when you’re satisfied. Every repair backed by our 1-year warranty on parts and labor.

It depends on the overall condition of the system. Levittown’s original 1950s black iron piping is 65–70+ years old, but the pipe material itself is often still structurally sound — it’s the threaded connections that fail first. If corrosion is limited to a few joints, targeted section replacement can extend the system’s life for another 15–20 years at a fraction of the cost of a full repipe. If we find widespread corrosion across multiple branch lines, a full repipe becomes the more cost-effective option. We show you exactly what we find and give you both options with pricing.
Yes. PECO requires an air pressure test to verify that gas lines are leak-free before they will restore gas service. We perform the test on-site with calibrated equipment and provide PECO with the documentation they need. In most cases, service is restored the same day the repair and test are completed.
Coverage varies by policy. Some homeowners insurance policies cover gas line repairs if the damage was caused by a covered event such as accidental damage or a lightning strike (common with CSST piping). Routine maintenance and repairs for age-related corrosion and wear are typically not covered. Contact your insurance provider for specific coverage details.
CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) is a flexible gas piping material used extensively in homes built or remodeled since the 1990s. While easier to install than rigid pipe, CSST is vulnerable to lightning-induced electrical damage that can perforate the thin corrugated wall. Pennsylvania code requires CSST to be properly bonded to the home’s electrical grounding system. Many older CSST installations don’t meet current bonding requirements. We inspect CSST runs for damage, verify bonding, and bring the system up to current code.
We serve all of Bucks County including Doylestown, Levittown, Langhorne, Newtown, Bensalem, Warminster, Yardley, Bristol, Quakertown, Morrisville, and surrounding communities. All work is performed by PA-licensed master plumbers and meets PECO utility requirements.
